[n!] is a project whose only member is 20 year old singer..songwriter..producer Nicholas Restivo, who spent a few childhood years in Rhode Island (U.S.A.). After studying a little bit of classical music and piano as a kid, he tought himself how to play nearly every other instrument he could get his hands on, and from there moved on to the world of synthesizers and programming. Now he's back to a primordial attitude towards music leaving the electronic world behind and experimenting with guitars, rhodes and other instruments. His attitude towards music and style is literary and cerebral. As far as the lyrics go, he was influenced by avant-garde authors like Thomas Stearn Eliot and Giuseppe Ungaretti. Experimentation is the key, and, because of the decision to take songs in new and different directions, it takes a very long time to record them in a way that is satisfactory and gratifying.
